This piece of ancient Irish bog oak found its own form over thousands of years in the Irish bogland — the flowing shape, the natural hollow, the fin-like edges. I simply cleaned it, finished it and looked until I saw what it already was.
An Bradán — The Salmon — one of the most sacred creatures in Irish mythology. The Salmon of Knowledge, carrier of ancient wisdom, swimmer between worlds.
The natural hollow becomes the eye. The flowing form becomes the body. The bog oak itself became the salmon long before I found it.
Hand finished and wax polished in Co. Tipperary, Ireland.

Refunds
If for some reason you are not happy with what you received, because of damage you have of course a right to send it back within twenty eight days of receiving it. I'll send a new item or a refund as desired.
The returned items should not show sign of wear and the P&P will be payable by the customer.

Care instructions
Most sculptures are made for indoor use and have a wax finish. This can be freshened with a smooth clean cloth and a touch up of wax applied when necessary.
Where are the materials sourced?
All the wood used in the sculptures in this shop has been sourced in Ireland, Tipperary if possible as that is where the shop is located. The wood is either taken from bogs and reclaimed land where it has been buried for thousands of years or more recent wood is from trees which have fallen or died. This ensures that the sculpture you order is as fully sustainable and environmentally friendly as possible.
